President Volodymyr #Zelensky of #Ukraine appealed to the #Trump admin on Wed to respect the #truth & avoid #disinformation in discussing the #war that began w/a #Russia invasion of his country, in his first response to Trump’s suggestion that Ukraine had started the war.

Zelensky said that the #US president was “living in a disinformation space” & in a “circle of disinformation.”

#Zelensky had until this week walked a fine line of staking out Ukrainian positions while avoiding any…breach w/the #US, #Ukraine’s most important ally in the…war. After…talks between #Russia & the US, Zelensky…laid out refusal to accept terms negotiated w/o Ukrainian participation.

At the news conference, Zelensky was focused & spoke w/intensity. He said he was not personally ruffled by the negotiations w/the #Trump admin. “This is not my first dialogue or fight,” he said. “I take it calmly.”

JFC #Trump is such an #insecure baby. #Zelenskyy rightfully says #Ukraine has to be at the table for peace talks w/ #Russia & mentions the challenges of Trump’s obvious #disinformation bubble & Trump lashes out in a weird rant full of projection, whining about Biden, bizarre capitalization, not only referring to himself in the third person but in quotes & all caps, flat out #lies & nonsense.

What a nutjob. Should be headline news: 'President spouts nonsense foreign policy, and government considers his removal' in a sane world. Instead it'll be "President explores provocative foreign policy direction" or some such sane-washing idiocy.

Media failure is such an enabler of this big developing threat to world peace.
