If you want to find your Twitter friends on Mastodon and the Fediverse, there's a tool that can help you do that:

➡️ fedifinder.glitch.me

FediFinder was created by @luca

(If you're wondering why it asks for authorisation, it's explained at social.luca.run/@luca/11076887…)

@feditips @Variety
- I'm still using the API. Because each user auth has it's own rate limit, this allows fedifinder to get the data fresh and instantly.
- By authorizing people can use it with a private account, where the following list is not public.
- It prevents people from getting data for any account instead of just their own.

It's no use if no one created the account on fediverse. I wanted to follow a @ on twitter that they will never do.

Exciting thanks! I thought everything useful was broken but I just had good luck with this!

Hey @luca one thing I noticed was that the version info for instances are out of date / never refreshed it seems. Is that intended/expected or an issue? Any way to clear its cache and pull new version info?

Also you want to keep running it again from time to time to find people who have arrived here since the last time you checked.
